Delice Bakery & Pastry in Samos is a quietly charming cafe where locals and visitors alike come for more than just a quick coffee. Situated on Sofouli street, it offers a mix of fresh bread, traditional Greek pastries, and an inviting selection of sweets that fit well with the slow-paced island rhythm.

The atmosphere here changes as the day progresses. Mornings and early afternoons see a steady flow of people grabbing freshly baked bread and snacks, often accompanied by a Greek coffee or espresso. It tends to stay calm and relaxed at these times, creating a good spot to pause whether you’re starting your day or waiting for a ferry. In the later afternoon, the place remains a popular stop for a quiet coffee break or a casual lunch featuring simple but satisfying options like pancakes and pastries. By evening, however, it can get noticeably busier, especially with locals and tourists looking for a sweet treat or gelato after dinner, making it livelier but still welcoming.

The menu highlights some local specialties with delicate touches: ice cream, cupcakes, corn bread sticks (κριτσίνι καλαμποκιού), and various traditional cakes like ferrero torte and the festive vasilopita. These reflect how the bakery balances classic flavors with everyday needs, catering to those who want a taste of local sweetness alongside international influences.

Service here is friendly and efficient, with staff members who seem to know regular customers by name and are happy to share suggestions—whether it’s about drinks or even practical tips like local water quality. This adds a hometown feel to the experience, making it a spot where locals often gather during the day.

For visitors, Delice Bakery is best suited to those who appreciate a no-fuss environment to enjoy good coffee paired with fresh pastries or ice cream, especially on a sunny afternoon when the nearby sea views offer a pleasant backdrop. It also works as a convenient pause point before travel or as a casual meeting place within Samos town. If you prefer a quieter cafe experience, aim for earlier in the day, since evenings can draw a crowd.

Our 3rd visit here. We purchased bread and pastries the last few days. Today it was lunch and then coffee while we waited for our ferry. Very nice food and quiet in here this afternoon.

Super nice and friendly people. We enjoyed the böreks and coffee and their advice about drinking water. Lots of locals are here to buy bread, cakes and ice cream. We enjoyed the sea view too.

I ordered grape mousse and something like apple pie it costs 4€. Mousse was too sweet, they should add citric acid to make more sour. Apple pie was delicious

Such a cute place, the atmosphere is great, and the sweets and coffee are delicious. But the best part might be the friendly staff and their service.

Truly an adorable place with lots of different options which range from local cuisine to pastries and cakes everyone knows. The cream chocolate dessert we got was very light and delicious! They also have large sized cakes.
